Paul Farrer was born in Worcester in 1973. From the age of 8 he was singing as a chorister in the Worcester Cathedral Voluntary Choir during which time he performed and recorded with world class orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra, The Liverpool Philharmonic and the CBSO.


After leaving School at 16 he began working as musical tea-boy in a busy recording studio where he gained a huge range of experience engineering and producing sessions with jazz and rock bands, solo artists and orchestras.

From writing jingles for radio stations across Europe he graduated to composing TV music and eventually set up his own company (The Music Mint Ltd) specialising in music for media.
In the past ten years he has composed numerous TV and Film scores as well as music works for more varied media projects such as Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story CD-ROM, The Royal Air Force, Ferrari and The Ford Motor Company.

Amongst his projects of note he scored Oliver Reed’s penultimate movie, and composed the music to The Weakest Link – one of The BBC’s most successful TV exports ever. Currently playing in over 97 countries.
He was the recipient of an Ampex Golden Reel Award for his work on LWT’s ‘The Gladiators’ and in 2003 was awarded the BMI composer award
