Georgine Anderson started her television acting career in the early 1960s and has since built up an impressive cv of roles, appearing in series such as No Hiding Place, Dixon of Dock Green, eight episodes of A Family at War for Granada Television, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie for Scottish Television in 1978, a regular part in Take the High Road and a role in all six episodes of the 1985 adaptation of Blott on the Landscape.

Still working to this day, she has appeared three times on Coronation Street: in November 1964 she played the role of Jack Walker’s Bank Manager's secretary, returning to the programme in March 1971 as Mrs Fielding, the primary school teacher of Peter and Susan Barlow. Her final role was in December 1995 when she played Eunice Watts, the mother of Curly Watts (the role had previously been played in 1988 by Angela Rooks who would re-take the role again in March 2002).
