A physician had a small surgery in 18th century France. In July 1794, he examined Susan Foreman when she was ill, and found that she had a fever. He was suspicious of her and Barbara Wright's story, so he told them he was going to look for some leeches for bloodletting. Instead, he locked Barbara and Susan in the room, and reported them to the jailer.
