Emily Morris

Emily Morris was an investigator of ghosts in the late 19th century.

In 1889, Emily lost her mother in a fire. Nine weeks later, she investigated a reputedly haunted house where she met Sarah Jane Smith, who had been sent to this point in time to obtain a piece of Chronosteel. Emily was convinced the house was haunted by ghosts, but Sarah Jane showed her that the house was crossing with a house from the future. Sarah Jane also gave an edition of the Ealing Echo dated Tuesday, 23 November 2010 to show that she was from the future. The two discovered that a room was on fire in the house's future and two children were locked inside. Emily travelled forward in time to obtain the key to the door, which was the Chronosteel. She saved the children by opening the door for them to escape. She wanted Sarah Jane to stay with her after Sarah Jane began to use the Chronosteel to return to 2010 and she accidentally kept the key, leaving Sarah Jane to return to the future empty-handed.

Emily never forgot Sarah Jane. In the years that followed, she became a doctor and founded a hospital for children, inspiring many to follow in her footsteps, including her daughter and granddaughter, Angela Price, both of whom loved her very much. She gave Angela the Chronosteel key and newspaper which she eventually managed to get to Sarah Jane and the Shopkeeper on 23 November 2010, thus saving Earth from total destruction.
