Damaris Hayman (born Kensington, London, England) is an actress best known for character roles on television. She was educated at Cheltenham Ladies' College.
After repertory work in the theatre, Hayman made her film debut in The Belles of St Trinian's (1954) in an uncredited role. She featured in the Doctor Who serial The D�mons as Miss Hawthorne, the self proclaimed White Witch of the satanic possessed village Devil's End. She was a close friend of actor and comedian Tony Hancock in the last year or so of his life.
She has also appeared in such comedies as Steptoe and Son, One Foot In The Grave and Sez Les, and the films Mutiny on the Buses (1972), Love Thy Neighbour (1973), Confessions of a Driving Instructor (1976) and The Missionary (1982).
