Melanie Pappenheim

Melanie Pappenheim is a singer, performer and composer.
She worked with Murray Gold on some of the major works of the Russell T Davies era. Her voice was the major instrument in the version of the "The Doctor's Theme" heard in series 1 and 2. It was also used to underscore the "Doomsday" cue heard at Rose Tyler's initial separation from the tenth Doctor in the episode of the same name.
Her voice was also heavily used on "Martha's Theme", "Astrid's Theme", "Seeking the Doctor", "The Doctor Forever" and "YANA (Excerpt)".
She has worked with with many leading contemporary composers including Jocelyn Pook, Orlando Gough, Gavin Bryars and Graham Fitkin and performed in a huge variety of venues ranging from The Royal Opera House, the ENO, The Royal Albert Hall, the National Theatre, Glyndebourne, a barge on the Thames, a tent in Sussex, a tower in Wells, in clubs, in lighthouses, hillsides, halls and basements everywhere.
