Forgetting the lines

Hartnell's perseverance
William Hartnell's deteriorating health was to see The Three Doctors as his last outing as the travelling Timelord. It was uncertain whether he could commit to filming but with William's determination and some slight script amendments, he was able to take part in the tenth anniversary special.
