Often cheery and bubbly but with a tendency to grumble. He might look like a human but is actually an alien from the 54th century. Despite his other-worldly origins he is a companion who prefers to stay on Earth rather than adventure through time and space with the Doctor. But he will travel when necessary as his bumbling persona hides an intelligent character who upholds his duty to protect and serve the Doctor.
