Alan Wareing
Alan Wareing is a British television director.
He became interested in directing through amateur theatre. He directed many plays then started working in television, first as an assistant floor manager and then as a production assistant before taking the BBC's director's course.
Alan Wareing directed three Doctor Who serials, all featuring the seventh Doctor: The Greatest Show in the Galaxy, Ghost Light and Survival.
Having directed both the last-aired and last-produced serials, he had an unassailable claim to being "the last director of the original run of Doctor Who".
Also worked on Emmerdale, Coronation Street, The Royal, Casualty, Wycliffe, London's Burning, Notaufnahme, The Bill, Rockliffe's Folly, EastEnders
