Sylvestra Le Touzel is a British television, film and stage actor who was born on Jersey in the Channel Islands and raised in Kensington, London. She was schooled in East Acton, attending the Barbara Speake stage school - during which she took on her first television role as a child from the Land of Fiction who spots the "TARDIS" trap for the Doctor in The Mind Robber. This was soon followed by another childrens' favourite, The Boy From Space, part of the regular Look and Read series story strand.

Other series in the 1970s include Sarah in My Honourable Mrs, Samantha in Westway,  Carol in This Year Next Year, and Jane in A Family Affair. The 1980s saw her appear in shows such as The Professionals, The Gentle Touch, with more substantial roles as Alice in Maybury and Fanny Price in Mansfield Park.

Later years saw her in The Gambling Man, Alas Smith & Jones, The Uninvited, Beast, Hearts and Bones, Silent Witness, Judge John Deed, The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, Bonkers, Northanger Abbey, Lewis, Midsomer Murders, New Tricks, Case Histories, Blandings, The Politician's Husband, Dirk Gently, Utopia and Death in Paradise.

Two additional roles of interest are as Mary Drake in The Thick Of It and Lady Duff Gordon in Titanic, shows that also featured Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman respectively!

She also appeared in a classic Heineken advert "The Water in Majorca" with Bryan Pringle, as well as the films Amazing Grace, Happy-Go-Lucky and Cloud Atlas (in which she portrayed three different characters in the movie!).

Her brother, Joshua Le Touzel, is also an actor. She is married to actor Owen Teale and has two children. She is a supporter of charitable theatre and is currently (as of the time of writing) a patron of Montage Theatre Arts in London along with fellow British actress Debby Bishop.
