William Oswald was an editor for many episodes of Doctor Who since 2007.

 Oswald decided to become a film editor after seeing 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1969. He graduated Queen's University Belfast B.Sc. Hons. Computer Science. Became a trainee Film Editor for BBC Wales in 1979, Assistant Film Editor BBC Wales and Granada T.V. until 1983. 

He is a Founder member of Teliesyn Ltd., one of South Wales' foremost production companies running the post-production dept. In 1986, he departed Teliesyn to form P.O.V. Ltd - Cardiff's premier film and video post-production company. Left P.O.V. Ltd. in June 1996 to become a freelance Film/Lightworks/Avid editor.

He has won BAFTA Wales awards in 2002 and 2009 for editing.
