Doctor Who Series 9 Launch premiered on UK Venues (Cineworld, Cardiff) in 2015 at 6:00pm BST

BAFTA Cymru presents an exclusive preview of the new series of Doctor Who.

The two-part story stars Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez and was filmed in Cardiff earlier this year.

Directed by Hettie McDonald, Produced by Peter Bennet and written by Steven Moffat, this is the only screening of both episodes ahead of their transmission on BBC One in September.

The double-bill screening will be followed by a panel Q&A session with Peter, Jenna and Steven, joined by Executive Producer Brian Minchin. Hosted by broadcaster Jason Mohammad.

Tim Plester is a Britishplaywright and actor who lives and works in London.

Plester graduated in 1994 with a BA (Hons) in theatre atDartington College of Arts in Devon, and went on to obtain an MA (Hons) in playwriting studies from Birmingham University in 1997. His writing credits for film includeAnt Muzak (2002), a short comedy pop film directed by Ben Gregor and starring Nick Moran andMackenzie Crook. It was the winner of an Audience Award at the 2003 Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for 'Best UK Short' at the 2003 Soho Rushes Festival and the 2002 Raindance Film Festival in London. It's terrestrial TV premiere came in October 2004 on Channel 4. He also wrote Blake's Junction 7(2004), a short comedy sci-fi film, again directed by Ben Gregor and starring Johnny Vegas, Mackenzie Crook, Mark HeapRaquel Cassidy, and Martin Freeman. The film premiered at the 2004 Edinburgh Film Festival and was screened at a number of prestigious film festivals worldwide. Both of these films are now available on DVD, along with a third film entitled World of Wrestling (2007). Again written by Plester and directed by Gregor, this sensational short comedy sports film stars Mackenzie Crook, Kevin EldonPatrick Baladi and Kris Marshall. It premiered at the 2007 Calgary Film Festival and was a "Highly Commended" selection for the 2007 Turner Classic Shorts award.

His award-winning 15-second film Slapphappy premiered at the 2008 Belfast Film Festival.

Tim's feature-length documentary film Way Of The Morris premiered at SXSW 2011, and received a limited release in UK cinemas before being released on DVD.

Tara Ward was 65 - credited as Preston in Warriors of the Deep

Tara Ward was born and raised in Canada and has been a professional actress since the age of four. Favourite performances include Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest in the West End, tours of the UK, Germany and Russia, Ray Cooney's Theatre Cruise and TV appearances in Doctor Who and Warner Bros' series Frightmares. She has recorded many audio books and has published six books on personal development.

She was married to Ray Lonnen, who passed away in 2014.

Stuart Milligan is an American actor.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts he is now based primarily in Britain where he is best known for his recurring role as Adam Klaus in Jonathan Creek.

Other appearances include Crossroads, Chalk and Secret Army. He also in the 1985 motion picture Santa Claus: The Movie.

Milligan has also contribited voice-over work in video games as Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, Rocky Legends, Farscape: The Game and, more recently, Pac-Man World 3. He also portrayed Mr. Green in the CD-i editions of the board game Cluedo. He also did voices for the english dub of Robin Hood no Daib?ken as well as portray The Riddler in the BBCaudio dramatisation of Batman: Knightfall.

In 2009 Milligan joined the West End cast of the musical Jersey Boys.

In 2009 he played Colonel Stark in the Doctor Who animation, Dreamland alongside David Tennant.

Dame Diana Rigg (died 2020 aged 82) - credited as Mrs Gillyflower in The Crimson Horror

Diana Rigg is of course best remembered as Emma Peel in the 1960s series The Avengers, and also became James Bond's short-lived wife in On Her Majesty's Secret Service; however the actress has had a long career covering stage, screen and television including The Assassination BureauDianaBleak House and The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries. She also hosted the PBS series Mystery! for some 15 years.


Glyn Owen (died 2004 aged 76) - 2 credits, including Rohm Dutt in The Power of Kroll

Glyn Owen  was a British stage, television and film actor.

He was best known to British TV viewers for two roles: that of Dr Patrick O'Meara in the long-running ITV hospital drama Emergency - Ward 10, and that of Jack Rolfe, the headstrong director of the Mermaid Boatyard in the mid-1980s BBC series Howards' Way.

His other television roles included Coronation Street, The Brothers, Doomwatch, The Adventures of William Tell, The Rat Catchers, All Creatures Great and Small, "Take The High Road", The Capone Investment, Ennal's Point, Oil Strike North, Survivors, and Blake's 7


Carl Forgione (died 1998 aged 54) - 2 credits, including Land in Planet of the Spiders

Carl Forgione was a British actor, best known for his television appearances.

His father was Italian and his mother Scottish, and they had a general store in Southfields, London. Forgione attended Riversdale School in Southfields then Emanuel School in Battersea, where he played cricket in the 1st XI.

He appeared in two Doctor Who serials - Planet of the Spiders in 1974 and Ghost Light in 1989.

Other TV credits included Dixon of Dock GreenBlake's 7Star CopsCoronation Street and The House of Eliott.

Forgione died of cancer in 1998.
