Early life

Burgess was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. After developing a flair for acting at Newcastle-under-Lyme School, he gained a place at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) and won a Dance and Drama Awards Scholarship on the three-year Acting course. He auditioned for his first professional role on graduation day in his last year at ALRA for the film Batman Begins.

Career

Burgess has appeared in adverts for several products, including the video game Burnout Paradise, MetroPCS, and Samsung.

Simon Nye is an English comic television writer, best known for creating the hit sitcom Men Behaving Badly.

He wrote the Doctor Who episode Amy's Choice.

Nye was born Burgess Hill, Sussex. He started his writing career as a translator, publishing translations of books on Richard Wagner, Henri Matisse and Georges Braque before turning his hand to novel writing in 1989 with Men Behaving Badly. T

Nye's TV writing career began in 1990 when he was persuaded by producer Beryl Vertue to adapt his first novel for the small screen. The first series of Men Behaving Badly was broadcast on ITV in 1991. The show soon went on to achieve critical and commercial success, winning the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Situation Comedy in 1995, and the Royal Television Society Award for Best Situation Comedy/Comedy Drama in 1996. 

He has written a number of comic adaptations of pantomimes including Jack and the Beanstalk (25 December 1998), Cinderella (2 January 2000), Aladdin (25 December 2000), and Dick Whittington (1 January 2002). He also wrote the short-lived 2001 sitcom The Savages.

Nye also continues to write translations, focusing in recent years on dramatic works. His translation of Molière's Don Juan was first performed at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield in 2001, and his translation of Dario Fo's Accidental Death of an Anarchist premiered at the Donmar Warehouse in London in 2003.


Marcus Gilbert will be 66 - credited as Ancelyn in Battlefield

Marcus Gilbert  is a British actor, known for his roles in Jilly Cooper's Riders and Army of Darkness.

He appeared in the 1989 Doctor Who story Battlefield

He has appeared in films, including A Hazard of Hearts (1987), A Ghost in Monte Carlo (1990), Biggles (1986), Rambo III (1988) and Legacy (1990).

Theatre work includes playing the young Viscount Goring in Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband with the Middle Ground Theatre Company on their national tour in 2000.

Gilbert also runs his own film production company, Touch The Sky Productions.

Warner had a long and illustrious acting career appearing in films such as The Omen, Time Bandits, Tron, The Lost World, Titanic and Planet of the Apes. 

He appeared in the Star Trek films The Final Frontier and The Undiscovered Country as well as playing Gul Madred in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Warner lent his vocal talents to Doctor Who providing the voice of Lord Azlok in the animated adventure Dreamland, first shown in 2009. He also appeared in many audio plays for Big Finish Productions, where he played an alternative version of The Doctor.

In 1981, he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Special for his portrayal of Pomponius Falco in the television miniseries Masada

Mike Reid (died 2007 aged 67) - 4 credits, including Worker in The War Machines

Mike Reid was born in Hackney, and made a career out of being a comedian and actor, most notably as Frank Butcher in Eastenders. He was also a presenter of the 1970s children's quiz show Runaround.

He had a small roles in some early Doctor Who stories including The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve .
