Frances Barber was born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. She attended Bangor University.

Alongside the Pet Shop Boys, she starred in their musical Closer to Heaven. She also appeared alongside Ian McKellen and Roger Allam in the Old Vic's pantomime production of Aladdin over the 2005-06 Christmas season. She also starred with McKellen in 2007 playing Goneril in Trevor Nunn's production of King Lear and as Arkadina in Chekhov's The Seagull with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She appeared in Madame de Sade opposite Judi Dench and Rosamund Pike at the Wyndham's Theatre, and will soon be appearing opposite Niall Buggy in Brian Friel's Afterplay, in a celebration of the author's work.

Zoë Wanamaker, CBE, is an American-British actress. She has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company; in films, including the Harry Potter series; and in a number of television productions, including a long-time role as Susan Harper in the sitcom My Family.

Wanamaker was born in New York City, the daughter of Canadian-born actress and radio performer Charlotte Holland, and American-born actor, film director, and radio producer Sam Wanamaker, who decided not to return to the United States after being blacklisted in 1952.

From 1976 to 1984 she was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. She won an Olivier Award for her 1979 performance in Once In a Lifetime and a second for Sophocles' Electra in 1997. 

In 1985, she played Verdi's wife Giuseppina Strepponi in the original production of After Aida. She appeared on stage playing the part of Beatrice opposite Simon Russell Beale as Benedick in the National Theatre's production of Much Ado About Nothing. She has received Tony Award nominations for her performances in Piaf, Loot, Electra, and Awake and Sing!.

On Screen Wannamaker played Madam Hooch in the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Television series have included Love Hurts with Adam Faith.

She played Clarice, one of the dim-witted twin sisters of Lord Groan in Gormenghast (2000), a BBC television adaptation of Mervyn Peake's trilogy.

Wanamaker portrayed Susan Harper in the BBC situation comedy My Family from 2000 to 2011.

Tim Pigott-Smith was an English film and television actor.

Pigott-Smith was born in Rugby, Warwickshire, the son of Margaret Muriel (née Goodman) and Harry Thomas Pigott-Smith, who was a journalist. He was educated at Wyggeston Boys' School, Leicester, King Edward VI School Stratford-upon-Avon, and Bristol University. He trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Notable appearances included Ronald Merrick in The Jewel in the Crown, the title role in the crime drama series The Chief (1990-1993), a recurring role in ITV drama The Vice as Ken Stott's nemesis, Vickers, Bloody Sunday and two separate adaptations of North and South. In the 1975 version he played Frederick Hale, while in 2004 he played his father Richard.

His film career included the 2004 film Alexander, The Four Feathers, Gangs of New York, Johnny English, The Remains of the Day, and V for Vendetta. Tim also makes an appearance in the 2008 film Quantum of Solace.

Pigott-Smith was a regular stage actor in Shakespearean and Greek roles; for instance, he played Posthumus in John Barton's 1974 production of Cymbeline for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His most recent appearance was as Kenneth Lay in ENRON (2009).

He received an OBE in 2017.

Frank Jarvis was a British character actor.

He trained at RADA and made his film debut in Mix Me a Person (1962).

One of Jarvis' best known cinema roles was his portrayal of Roger in the 1969 British crime caper film, The Italian Job. In one of the films iconic scenes, Jarvis' character is stranded in a bus hanging off a cliff. He also appeared in films such as That Kind of Girl (1963), Rotten to the Core (1965), Out of Season (1975) and A Bridge Too Far (1977).

His television appearances include the Doctor Who serials The War Machines (1966), Underworld (1978) and The Power of Kroll (1978).

Milton Johns is an English actor 

Johns has appeared in Doctor Who on several occasions: as Theodore Benik in The Enemy of the World; Guy Crayford in The Android Invasion; and Castellan Kelner in The Invasion of Time

Johns was born in Bristol and trained at the Bristol Old Vic.

He had a continuing role in ITV's Coronation Street from 1991 - 1993).

Other roles have included parts in Poldark, Born and Bred, Ever Decreasing Circles,Home to Roost, Dempsey & Makepeace, Murder Most English, Shoestring, Yes Minister, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em,Softly, Softly, Going Straight, The Good Life, Don't Wait Up, Butterflies, Campion and Z-Cars. Johns also appeared as an Imperial Officer (Captain Bewil) in the 1980 Star Wars sequel, The Empire Strikes Back. He played Perker in the 1985 adaptation of The Pickwick Papers. In the 1986 television series War and Remembrance, Johns took the role of the senior Nazi SS officer Adolf Eichmann.


Terry Scully (died 2001 aged 68) would have been 92 - credited as Fewsham in The Seeds of Death

Terry Scully was a British theatre and television actor.

In 1969 he played Fewsham in the second Ice Warrior story The Seeds of Death

After making his name in the theatre, from the 1960s onwards he became more known for TV work. In 1960 he starred in the BBC's production of Age of Kings, playing King Henry VI in several episodes.

Other notable roles for Scully were as Horatio Nelson in the 1968 television series, Triton, and as Bicket in the BBC's 1967 blockbuster adaptation of The Forsyte Saga. He also appeared in Dixon of Dock GreenZ-CarsSoftly, SoftlyCallanPublic EyeThe Venturers, and Angels.

He appeared in theBlake's 7 episode "Dawn of the Gods" and starred as Vic Thatcher in four episodes of the 1970s series Survivors. During his time on that series, Scully suffered a nervous breakdown. As a result, his role was filled by actor Hugh Walters in subsequent episodes.

In 2001 he died of a stroke, aged 68.

Richard Beale (died 2017 aged 96) would have been 104 - 4 credits, including Bat Masterson in The Gunfighters

Richard Beale was born in 1920. His early career encompassed being in the Royal Navy during the Second World War and then working in his father's print business before the lure of being an actor called.

Early film work included A Night to Remember and Sink the Bismarck! As well as Doctor Who, but he went on to be more familiar for television work, including Compact, Dr Finlay's Casebook, Z-Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, War and Peace, The Life and Times of David Lloyd George, The Tripods, plus a year in Eastenders during the early 1990s and later shows like Casualty, The BillAfterlife and Teachers. He also appeared in three different versions of the Treasure Island tale (BBC 1987, ITV 1986 and a TV Movie in 1990).

In 2015 his memoirs of being in the Navy, One Man's War, was published.
