Cooke played the role of Luke Kirkwall from 2000 to 2006 in the ITV drama Where the Heart Is. He has also guest starred in Doctors, The Royal, Casualty and George Gently.

Cooke appeared in BBC One's The Chase and played Brae Marrack in the ITV1 soap opera Echo Beach.

In early 2009, he played the lead role of Luke Rutherford in ITV1 supernatural drama Demons.

Cooke also starred in the critically acclaimed Channel 4 four-part drama The Promise, directed by Peter Kosminsky. He recently completed a new Paramount Pictures romantic comedy, Destination Wedding. He is currently filming the new 1950s Miami-set drama series, Magic City.

David Myerscough-Jones was Designer for three stories in the classic series. He first worked on the 1968 second Doctor story The Web of Fear. Set in a London tube station, the BBC refused to pay the high fee demanded to film in the actual location so Myerscough-Jones was given the task of replicating the London Underground system in a television studio. He achieved this so admirably, with a replica so lifelike, that the BBC received a letter of complaint from London Underground alleging that filming had taken place on their property without permission.

In 1970 he returned to the series working on the third Doctor story The Ambassadors of Death and two years later he worked on Day of the Daleks were he was responsible for designing rooms in a stately home as wall a a futuristic control centre.

Outside of Doctor Who, Myerscough-Jones has a long successful career. His most notable achievement was designing the sets for a television version of Britten’s opera Peter Grimes.

Geoffrey Hinsliff (born Leeds, England) is an English actor best known for his portrayal of Don Brennan in Coronation Street from 16 August 1987 to 8 October 1997. He had previously played other characters in the same programme, in 1963 and 1977.

He originally trained at RADA, before making his television debut in an episode of Z-Cars. He went on to appear in Adam Adamant Lives!Dixon of Dock GreenUFOThe Professionals and Heartbeat.

Prior to taking up the role of Don Brennan in Coronation Street he was probably best known to armchair viewers for his performance in the popular comedy-drama Brass. He has guest starred in Holby City as an alcoholic in 2010.

He married his wife Judith in 1967.

Frank Jarvis was a British character actor.

He trained at RADA and made his film debut in Mix Me a Person (1962).

One of Jarvis' best known cinema roles was his portrayal of Roger in the 1969 British crime caper film, The Italian Job. In one of the films iconic scenes, Jarvis' character is stranded in a bus hanging off a cliff. He also appeared in films such as That Kind of Girl (1963), Rotten to the Core (1965), Out of Season (1975) and A Bridge Too Far (1977).

His television appearances include the Doctor Who serials The War Machines (1966), Underworld (1978) and The Power of Kroll (1978).

Dwight Whylie was a broadcaster and radio announcer.

Career

In 1961, Whylie was the first black radio announcer hired by the British Broadcasting Corporation. In 1973, he became the general manager of Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, where he remained until 1976.

In 1977, he joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, where he remained until 1997.

Family

He was the brother of noted Jamaican musician Marjorie Whylie.
